At NexGen Clinical Education, we are committed to providing innovative training platforms to enhance the skills and knowledge of healthcare professionals, with a special focus on nursing. These are our foundational materials and references that inform our custom created content. Transparency ensures our users feel confident and informed as they engage with our content, knowing it is reliable, credible, and current.
At NexGen Clinical Education, our approach to developing training content is deeply rooted in a blend of hands-on experience and evidence informed care. Our content development team boasts over 80 years of combined expertise in various facets of nursing—from direct patient care on hospital floors to educational roles and management of nursing departments in large healthcare systems. This diverse experience is fundamental to the creation of our content.
Our content development process starts with a rigorous selection of clinical practice concepts that have been scientifically studied and peer-reviewed. We then tailor these concepts to the practical realities of nursing work through the lens of our team’s extensive firsthand experience. This ensures that our training not only covers theoretical knowledge but is also deeply relevant to the daily challenges faced by nurses.
Furthermore, each piece of custom content is meticulously peer-reviewed by a registered nurse and then further reviewed our medical doctor, adding an additional layer of medical accuracy and relevance. This collaboration between seasoned nurses and a veteran physician ensures that our educational content is well-rounded and medically sound.
By integrating real-world insights with evidence-informed care, NexGen Clinical Education bridges the gap for nurses who are well-versed theoretically but may lack practical experience. Our training platforms are designed to transform theoretical knowledge into practical skills, thus preparing nurses to excel in a dynamic healthcare environment. Through our unique approach, we empower nursing professionals to implement their knowledge confidently and effectively in their day-to-day practice.
Here's How We Do It
1. Assignment of Topics: Each topic is assigned to a designated Subject Matter Expert (SME) who is responsible for developing the content.
2. Content Creation: The SME drafts the educational material, ensuring it meets the specified learning objectives and educational standards.
3. Initial Review: Independent Registered Nurses (RNs) review the draft content and provide feedback on its accuracy, relevance, and clarity.
4. Incorporation of Feedback: The SME considers the feedback received and makes necessary revisions to the content to enhance its quality and effectiveness.
5. Secondary Review: The revised content undergoes a review by the Medical Director to ensure compliance with medical accuracy and regulatory standards.
6. Feedback from Medical Director: The Medical Director provides additional feedback, focusing on medical accuracy, compliance, and educational impact.
7. Final Revisions: The SME incorporates the Medical Director’s feedback and finalizes the content, preparing it for deployment.
8. Content Deployment: The finalized content is uploaded to the training platform, making it available for educational purposes.
This approach to content development for nurse training is highly effective because it systematically integrates expertise, peer review, and quality control at each stage, ensuring the production of reliable and relevant educational materials. By involving SMEs in the initial drafting and subsequent RNs in the review process, the content is scrutinized from multiple professional perspectives, which enhances its accuracy and applicability. The incorporation of feedback from both independent RNs and a Medical Director not only aligns the material with current medical standards and practices but also guarantees that it meets stringent regulatory requirements. This multi-tiered review process fosters a comprehensive vetting of content that promotes educational integrity and helps prevent the dissemination of outdated or incorrect information. Moreover, the iterative feedback and revision phases encourage continuous improvement and adaptation to emerging trends and new evidence-informed care, ensuring the content remains dynamic and current. Overall, this approach provides a robust framework for creating high-quality, clinically relevant training materials that are directly tailored to the needs of nursing professionals.
